Hot Star - Rowland Heights, CA
Foodie friend Charlie has been raving about the chicken fillet here ever since it franchised all the way from Taiwan. I always wanted to try it but just couldn't drop $10 for a piece of chicken.

Corner Beef Noodle House - El Monte, CA (Revisit)
Slave girl wanted beef noodle soup for lunch and I remembered Corner Beef Noodle House being my favorite so far, why not pay a another trip?
This time we ordered a pork chop, beef noodle soup, and half tendon half meat noodle soup. Drink wise we got passion fruit tea and winter melon tea. Personally I prefer winter melon tea more because it was less sweet, but both were refreshing when it was 90 some degrees out.

Hugo Foods - Rowland Heights, CA
I've been seeing ads for Hugo Foods on my Facebook, and I remembered seeing them at a local fair. I never got a chance to try their food and I figured the time has finally came after they got a store front.

BreadFish Cafe - Rowland Heights, CA
The first time I visited BreadFish Cafe, I believe they just opened their door and I remembered the food being good. It has been awhile and I wanted to see if the quality still the same so I dragged slave girl with me for a revisit.

Kingburg Kitchen - San Gabriel, CA
One night, I can't tell you why but I was craving a dumpling meal like crazy. I searched through slave girl's area over and after filtering out all the XLB and wonton places, I finally found something worthy.

Golden Leaf - San Gabriel, CA
I was in the mood for Taiwanese food and luckily I was in a area filled with Taiwanese restaurants. Golden Leave was one of them and since I haven't tried the food there, time to grab slave girl and go.

Taiwan Sausage Bei - Rowland Heights, CA
Our foodie friend Charlie (so jelly he could go inside of the truck to take pictures...) told us a new Taiwanese food truck opened up in Rowland Heights and I have been dying to try it. Sadly I was never able to make it due to work schedule when they only open from Monday to Friday, from 11 am to 2 pm/sold out. I was finally in Rowland Heights on a fine Friday and got to try it.

Lu’s Garden - San Gabriel, CA
Bitch and moan, that's what I do.
Me and slave girl saw Lu's Garden got lunch special. Since I have never had lunch special here before, it sounded like a great idea.

LA Kembo Food Truck - Monterey Park, CA
Slave girl and I were at the Ralph's running errands, when we came out we saw 2-3 food trucks hanging out in the front and I was like, let's check them out. That was when I found Kembo.

Corner Beef Noodle House - El Monte, CA
I have been following corner beef noodle house's Facebook page for a long time. After my vacation trip, I really wanted to have some beef noodle soup and remembered corner beef noodle house was by slave girl's hood, so why not check out the place finally.

Noodle King - Alhambra, CA
Technically speaking, since I was in slave girl's hood, she usually picks on where to eat for dinner. But I was craving beef noodle soup so I overrided her and decided to give noodle king a try.

TEALICIOUS - Diamond Bar, CA
One day while I was at work minding my own business, my co-worker showed up and told me he was buying me lunch. I was like, heck yes! Who says no to free lunch?! Well, later on I found out he wanted me to dog sit for him over the weekend. Lesson learned, there is no free lunch in this world. Tealicious was the choice.
Tealicious is located the same plaza as Starbucks; the parking could be bad but not impossible. When we went inside, there were no customers, so we thought it was going to be a quick lunch. Oh how we were so wrong... Apparently, this restaurant is famous for lunch take out and during the time we were waiting for our food, I saw many people came in and out nonstop, but no one sat down to eat like us. Sigh.
