Nabeeya - Los Angeles, CA

Work wife 2 was in the mood for raw fish and I remembered this place across the street from my favorite cafe. After looking through the menu and we decided to check this place out.

The restaurant had a cozy inside seating, but they had couple seats outside. It was kind of a lose lose situation because if we sat inside, it didn't look like there was much ventilation. But if we sat outside, we got to deal with the LA wild life. Well, we sat outside and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

We ordered two chirashi bowls and one aloha roll. Apparently, they served water but it was straight out of the pipe with no filter. If you are not into the fine taste of the city, buy a bottle of water at the cost of $1.

Before anything, we got 2 hot miso soups which was nice since I didn't expect it.

When we got our roll, we were pretty pleased because the fish was fresh and the portion was decent. As far flavor goes, you can't go wrong with spicy tuna with anything.

The chirashi bowl had a Korean touch since the shop was Korean owned. We got tuna, albacore, salmon, and mini scallop. They were all pretty fresh and the pickled items elevated the flavor of the bowl. I am also touched to see the bowl came with salad inside. Gotta have those greens!

Service was great, very attentive and friendly. Price was fair. I think we got a winner here.
