Slave girl got a Groupon for Melt It, and I remember seeing my cousin posting some awesome cheesy looking thing on her social media from here. Words just couldn't describe how excited I was to finally made it in!
This restaurant was counter service and table could be hard to find during peak time. However they had one big table for 8, so going with a group shouldn't be an issue. I wonder if that table can be reserved...
When we walked in, we were properly greeted. We told the guy behind the counter it was our first visit and he was super helpful. I would never turn down suggestions when staff makes recommendations. He told us to try some of their famous items like the cheesiest mac n cheese with pulled pork. So we got that, and South Bound.
The South Bound was fried chicken sandwich with cabbage slaw, monterey jack, buffalo sauce on a french roll. The sauce was not overpowering, and the chicken was crunchy on some bites. The slaw was the perfect relief for the buffalo sauce. Everything accommodated each other and it was just a great sandwich.
If you are getting mac n cheese melt, make sure to add the pulled pork. It cost $3.50 extra but it was totally worth it. The plain melt was cheesy as promised, but still lacking on flavors. However, with a little bit grease and salt from the pulled pork, it enhanced the taste by a mile.
Overall experience was excellent. Friendly service with great food. Price was decent and plenty of selections on the menu. This place is calling for a return trip for sure.
