Pizzicotto - Los Angeles, CA

One of my work bros was craving for pizza. He never really eats out and for him to say he wanted pizza, I must fulfill that wish! After some looking around, we were settled for Pizzicotto.

Second floor seating!

The restaurant was pretty small but it was sooooo cute. There were many things hanging on the wall to look at and the restroom gave a home vibe. They also had tables on the second floor but I didn't get a chance to check it out... Maybe next time.

By default we were getting a pepperoni pizza to share, then we were recommended to get pesce cuocopazzo as well. Well, I don't usually turn down recommendations so that was what we got.

I usually don't talk about the complimentary bread, but this bread was sooooo good. It felt homemade, very crunchy on the outside with warm soft center. This was the bread to die for and we all enjoyed it.

Pizza came next and on top of the pepperoni, it also had sausages over tomato sauce and mozzarella. The crust was thin and crunchy, even after it got cold. I also liked the taste of pepperoni and sausage, very different from the chain restaurants.

Pesce cuocopazzo was fresh white fish with a horseradish-pistachio crust, in a fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil white wine sauce. The fish was not overcooked and the crust was crunchy. All the components worked with each other and created a perfect bite.

The service here was spot on. We were constantly checked and water was never empty. The only negative thing was the price being too high. Don't get me wrong, the food was good; but down to it, a pizza and a piece of fish shouldn't be close to $50 for lunch. I would still go back though.
