Fisherman’s Outlet - Los Angeles, CA

Work wife 2 wanted seafood for lunch and she remembered this place from her childhood. It was a bit far from work so I haven't thought about going yet. Since she was driving, I was like, hells yeah let's go!

The parking was pretty easy since they had a parking lot in the back of the building. They also had couple spots in the front and street parking was available.

The location was combined with a restaurant and a shop. The seafood in the glass case on the shop side looked fresh. The line on the restaurant side could get long so I would suggest ordering the food first before browsing around if you are there to eat.

The restaurant was counter service and they were pretty fast on moving the line. Everything on the menu looked good and made it hard to decide. I finally settled with their popular deep fried sampler.

The deep fried sampler came with one crabcake, fried shrimps, catfish strips, coleslaw and fries. The crabcake was big and delicious. Probably the best item on the plate. The shrimp was a little dry with a lot of coating, but overall it wasn't a bad plate.

While we were eating, we actually had a random begger asking for money since it was right next to the street side. We said no and it turned into a small shouting match. The facility had a security guard and came over to escort the begger away. That was actually very nice. We enjoyed the food and I was glad to finally try it.
