Lady M Cake Boutique - Arcadia, CA
Ok, the pop-up is not there anymore, but I still want to talk about it.
Slave girl and I were just trolling in the mall until all of sudden we saw Lady M! I've heard about this place among the Asian community for quite some time but never really know what the hype was. I guess this was the day to find out!
When walked in, 3 cakes were sold out already. After looking through what was left, we went with a slice of black forest and green tea mille crepes.
The black forest was made of layers of dark chocolate sponge with brandied cherries and whipped cream in between. The cake was soft and puffy. The cherries helped the cake to change the texture consistency and it was perfect with a cup of joe.
The green tea mille crepes had 20 layers of crepes. Each layer had green tea infused pastry cream in between then finished with tons of green tea powder on top. It was mild and brought me to a moment of zen.
The service was fast and friendly. We told them what we wanted and it was brought to us within 2 minutes. The cakes were delicious and very satisfying. I get it. If you haven't tried their pastry yet, don't wait!
